I like the way you encourage people to understand self first and foremost. I try to do the same with those I teach MBTI. Once you understand self, you can develop strategies for working with others. It is extremely helpful in relationships. I can also do a shameless self plug. I have written a book on MBTI and marriage titled, "The Type of Marriage that Endures." It's an easy read for those who need a better understanding in their marriage.
Craig Gleerup

Ditto peteej on the nice write-up.

Personally I've not come across anyone i know who is classed as an ESFJ. I'm an ENFP myself btw.

ESFJ => They need approval from others to feel good about themselves. (so you're pretty right there)

ESFJ => http://www.personalitypage.com/ESFJ.html

Cheers!
TrafficLicious
TrafficLicious.com

How appropriate for today - I'm reading a book on introversion and the Meyers-Briggs is mentioned quite a few times. You are correct with regard to your friend. Nice write-up. :)
