You know, Michele, our call really had a huge impact on me (and thank you for your incredibly kind words in this post!). I've thought about what you started the call out with: "Start with knowing and loving yourself, or else everything else in goal-setting breaks down," so many times since our call. You took, what? About 2 minutes to hit my nerve centre...

I'm guessing I'm not the first coach to find that, when I'm stuck with knowing what I want, it's because I'm not liking myself and I've been investing in trying to deny parts of who I really am. You're so right that it's when I like myself and accept myself that I easily know what I want.

My sense is that it's my commitment to "self-development" that's gets me stuck with this sometimes - that perpetual "improving myself" stuff gets overdone and becomes self-judgment.

So my keyword/ phrase to carry through 2010 will be "all of me," to remind myself to love all of me, and to be and express all of me.

Thank you for your wisdom. Looking forward to many more curious, warm, kind conversations with you :)

Big love,
Cath

Ahh...permission to be just who we are, and to love our own particular, unique, wonderful way of being in the world. This really is the key to happiness! And to wise, clear decision-making too.

Thanks so much, Michelle, for another wise post.
