Arlene, Anne spoke so fondly of you -- whenever we'd meet for lunch or chat on the phone she'd say, "Oh, let me tell you what Arlene is doing!" You brought so much joy and love to her life -- what a blessing.

Michele,
Your post really hit home. Anne was a wonderful mentor for so many women and I was lucky enough to be one of them. I'm also lucky enough to be married to one of her wonderful sons! Anne was a mother, a mentor, a friend, a confidant, a leader and as you so aptly put "a career fairy godmother." I loved her with all my heart and I will miss her more than I can possibly say.... We are numb with our loss but words like yours are uplifting and important for those of us who are carrying on her work mentoring other young women. My two girls...Anne's granddaughters...will grow up knowing that their "GaGa" did so much for so many women professionally and personally and they will carry on her legacy with pride and honor. Thank you,
Arlene

Michele, what a beautiful, heart-opening tribute to a woman and mentor whom you so obviously loved. You were fortunate indeed to have her in your life, as your own mentoring clients are blessed by having you in theirs.

I'm so sorry for the sadness and loss you must feel. Thank you for this tender reminder of the ways in which we help shape each other's lives--and the life of our world--by the ways in which we show up and serve.

Love, Hiro
